Description

This is a ACL Italy Direct operating 2-way solenoid valve with G 1/2-inch threads and a 24 V AC coil. The valve has a brass housing with FKM(FPM) sealing and an orifice size of 4 mm. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally opened, which means the valve closes when voltage is applied. The valve is suitable for pressures of 0-5.5 bar (0 - 79 psi) and a ambient temperature according to coil from -10°C to +80°C and seal temperature range is -10°C to +120°C. In imperial units: Cv = 0.370, which means 0.370 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. For simple applications it is often enough to select a valve based on the thread size and orifice diameter. The brass housing is durable, suitable for neutral fluids and resistant to many chemicals. The FKM (fluoro rubber material) sealing is suitable for neutral fluids and many chemicals, but it has poor resistance to oils and fats. The valve has an IP65 rating if properly connected.

Pros:

  • Peak-and-hold electronics enable low energy consumption by delivering a high current to open the valve, which then decreases to a low holding current
  • Good protection against the environment thanks to the IP65 rating
  • Type 206 is ideal for larger flows
  • Solenoid valves open and close very fast compared to many other valve types
  • A damped design ensures reduced noise levels

Cons:

  • Not suited for low pressure differentials (< 0 bar). In case of low pressure or a vacuum, consider a direct solenoid valve
  • Solenoid valves are very sensitive to dirt and can only be used with clean liquids and gases
  • The coil may get hot when energized. A well ventilated environment is recommended

NO-DA series

The NO-DA is a directly operated 2/2-way solenoid valve (normally open). The valve has an orifice of 4 mm, works from 0 bar and is suitable for small flow rates. The body is available in brass.
