This valve is 3/2 way, normally closed, equipped with one coil. The valve has 1/4'' NPT inch ports (BSPP female thread). The coil voltage is 230 V AC and the power is 0.95 VA. The valve can only be operated with compressed air (filtered up to 5 μm) that doesn't need to be lubricated. The operating pressure is 0.9 to 10 bar (13 to 145 psi). Mounting on manifold with a central supply and vent possible. Response time is 0.055 s. The valve has a Kv flow rate value is 33 Nm³/h(550 l/min). This valve is equipped with a manual override. Never exceed the valve limits (pressure, temperature, voltage, media, etc.). Do not apply any voltage to the coil when the coil is removed from the valve in order to prevent burn-through.
A 3/2-way valve has three ports and two states. It can be used to control a single-acting cylinder, among other applications. The valve's ports and functions are described as follows:.
- Port 1 (Supply Port): This is the port where the compressed air supply connects. It supplies air to the valve.
- Port 2 (Actuator Port): This port connects to the actuator (e.g., a cylinder). It is used to either fill or vent the actuator, depending on the state of the valve.
- Port 3 (Exhaust Port): This port vents the air from the actuator back to the atmosphere.
Pros:
- Low flow resistance (Kv=33 Nm³/h.)
- Fast and reliable operation
- Duty Cycle 100%
- Low energy consumption (0.95VA)
- Maintenance free design
- Coil can be installed in four directions (4 x 90°)
- Designed for manifold mounting
Cons:
- Only for (clean) air, not for other media or vacuum
- Minimal pressure of 0.9 bar required for proper operation (pilot operated valve)
