The Omega Close-Coupled Yellow (HDY) Elastomeric Couplings is tailored for demanding industrial environments, offering advanced flexibility and high durability. It is equipped with a Split-in-half flex element for easy assembly and replacement and Reversible hubs for versatile installation for seamless installation and minimal maintenance. HDY indicates Heavy Duty Yellow, underlining its ability to handle higher torque and robust operations.

• Features a 25% higher torque rating and 40% higher torsional stiffness than Orange (Standard) element • Available in Inch (Imperial) or Metric • Hubs offered in rough, custom, or bushed designs • Accommodates shaft diameters up to 9.00” (229 mm) • Continuous torque loads up to 425,250 lb-in (48,052 Nm) • Peak torque loads up to 1,063,125 lb-in (120,116 Nm) • Available in 16 sizes from E2 to E140 (E2-M to E140-M metric)

Variety of Sizes and Options
In addition to being available in 16 metric and imperial sizes, Omega is offered as a general-purpose Orange, in a High Density Yellow (HDY) option that provides 25% more torque capacity, and a Green Hydrolytically Stable Urethane (HSU) option that’s ideal for hot and humid environments. Anti-corrosive steel shoes and stainless steel hardware or hubs are also available upon request.
Torque-Dense Flex Elements
Omega’s specially formulated polyurethane provides significantly higher peak torque capabilities than competitive rubber based solutions allowing selection of a smaller sized coupling and ultimately a lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
Weight Balanced Elements
Omega half elements are tightly matched to ensure standard weight balance conforms with ISO G16 (1504 RPM) and AGMA Class 8, helping to prevent premature wearing due to an unbalanced coupling.
