A High Quality Membrane Coupling

CENTADISC-T series torsional couplings are designed and built for the high-load requirements of rail applications. The unique electrically insulated membrane ensures safety and efficiency for rail industry usage. The CENTADISC-T features a simple, compact design that’s easy to install and assemble and very low-maintenance. Designed to avoid the damage caused by leakage or high-frequency currents, the CENTADISC-T offers high-capacity resistance and optimum protection. CENTADISC-T is designed for the high speeds associated with rail applications, while providing the best option for integrated overload functionality.

Flexibility in Both Design and Use

The unique, proven steel membrane design of the CENTADISC-M series driveshaft transmits higher torques while it compensates for significant misalignment. With a lightweight design, the CENTADISC-M Series driveshaft features a tandem steel membrane and intermediate tube of steel or carbon-fiber reinforced plastic. The tandem membrane is radially stiff, but as a double cardanic system, is able to compensate for considerable axial misalignment. The CENTADISC-M is ideally suited for ship propulsion, pump drives, cooling tower drives, papermills, printing, and general power transmission. With a modular design, components are easily exchanged without disturbing the connected shafts, making the CENTADISC-M a low-maintenance solution. Available in lengths up to 10 meters (30’) per section, the CENTADISC-M reduces the need for additional components such as bearings and foundations, making it a truly cost-effective driveshaft solution.

Reinforced Composite Design for Applications Where Low Weight and Flexibility are Critical

The CENTADISC-C series products are strong, yet lightweight composite membrane couplings and driveshafts. They can be used with tubular steel, or composite carbon or glass fiber shafts. Built for use in passenger ferries, and other marine vessels, CENTADISC-C series couplings and drive shafts offer extremely low weight for easy handling and assembly/disassembly. The torsionally stiff design composite membrane compensates for considerable axial and angular misalignment. The robust combination of low weight, high strength, and durability make CENTADISC-C an ideal solution for long shaft spans and is also well suited in corrosive and high-temperature environments. CENTADISC-C is available in lengths up to 10m (30’) and is radially mountable, easy-to-service and maintain. Thanks to the flexible, lightweight design, CENTADISC-C holds up under stressful applications with minimal maintenance, saving you time and money on handling and servicing.
