Description

Magnaflux UT-X Powder is an ultrasonic couplant powder designed for flaw detection and thickness gauging where ferrous corrosion inhibition and reliable performance on corroded, salt-caked or dirty surfaces are needed. Supplied as a granular white powder, it mixes quickly with water to form a lump-free couplant gel and can be adjusted from low to very high viscosity depending on the water ratio. UT-X Powder is salt resistant, contains no dyes, fragrance, glycerin, silicone or propylene glycol and provides short-term corrosion protection with low skin irritation potential. Its compact, lightweight packets reduce shipping cost and storage space, making it a practical choice for power-generating boilers, structural steel, ship plates and other field inspections within a typical couplant temperature range of 32 to 120°F (0 to 49°C).

Key Features
