Magnaflux Sonotrace 30 is a general-purpose, nuclear-grade ultrasonic couplant with medium-thick gel viscosity for flaw detection and thickness gauging in demanding applications. Its humectant-rich, slower-drying formula maintains good acoustic coupling for longer inspections, provides very good corrosion inhibition and wets oily or dirty surfaces quickly. With low halogen and sulfur levels, no silicone or glycerin and a water-washable gel that operates from 25 to 175°F (-4 to 79°C), Sonotrace 30 is well suited for aerospace, nuclear, weld and composite inspections.
