Description

Siemens SM 1221 DI16 module provides 16 digital inputs rated at 24 V DC grouped in fours for flexible wiring. Each channel features an IEC 61131‑type 1 input characteristic with a signal “0” threshold of ≤ 5 V or 0.5 mA and a signal “1” threshold of ≥ 15 V at 2.5 mA. Input delay times are parameterizable between 0.2 ms and 12.8 ms in groups of four. Shielded and unshielded cable lengths up to 500 m and 300 m respectively are supported. Diagnostic LEDs provide channel status and maintenance information. Channels and backplane bus are galvanically isolated with a test voltage of 707 V DC. The IP20‑rated module operates from −20 °C to +60 °C.
