Description

Siemens CPU 1212C DC/DC/relay operates on a 24 V DC supply (20.4–28.8 V) and consumes about 185 mA for the CPU alone; maximum current with expansion modules is 765 mA. Power loss is approximately 3 W and the CPU offers 150 kB program, 500 kB data and 650 kB work memory with 8 MB load memory expandable via memory card. Eight digital inputs accept 24 V DC signals with 5 V/0.5 mA signal‑0 threshold and 15 V/2.5 mA signal‑1 threshold and offer parameterizable input delay from 0.1 µs to 20 ms. Six integrated relay outputs switch up to 2 A resistive load and deliver 30 W DC/200 W AC lamp loads with 10 ms switching delay and 10 million mechanical cycles. The controller features a dual‑port PROFINET interface supporting PROFINET IO controller/device and open IE communications. It supports up to six expansion modules and includes an integrated real‑time clock and web server.
