Magnaflux Sono 600 is a versatile, high-temperature ultrasonic couplant formulated as a thick, transparent amber gel for flaw detection, thickness gauging, flow metering and acoustic emission testing over a broad temperature range from 0 to 700°F (-18 to 371°C). It provides outstanding performance on a diverse range of applications, including vertical and overhead surfaces, with very slow drying time to support extended inspection time or long-term coupling. Sono 600 combines a high-temperature rating and high flash point to help minimize ignition risk and enhance inspector safety, while delivering high corrosion protection for parts. The couplant is non-toxic and biodegradable, contains no silicone or glycerin, uses propylene glycol, and maintains low halogen and sulfur levels for compatibility with most composites and metals.
