Magnaflux Sono 1100 is a high temperature ultrasonic couplant developed for thickness gauging and corrosion testing in the 700 to 775°F (371 to 413°C) range. This beige, medium-viscosity paste provides an extended open time window so inspectors can obtain stable thickness readings at high temperature, with coupling often improving until the couplant begins to thermally decompose. Sono 1100 offers excellent corrosion inhibition, is non-toxic and non-irritating, and is formulated without glycerin or propylene glycol, with low halogen and sulfur levels for compatibility with most metals used in high-temperature service.
