Direct SDI Portable Silt Density Index Test Kit (SDI Tester) SDI-2000 is completely assembled in a portable, compact case, ready for on-site testing. Suspended solids and colloidal materials in feed water are one of the biggest problems in reverse osmosis systems. Silt Density Index (SDI) is the established measurement of this fouling problem, in which a 0.45 micron filter is exposed to the feed water under pressure and filtration rates are calculated. In most cases, an SDI of less than 5 is considered acceptable for the reverse osmosis systems. SDI-2000 Silt Density Index test kit includes two SDI filters. An additional filter pack (SDI-045) should also be purchased. SDI Test Kit Assembly Includes: Filter Holder, Pressure Gauge, Pressure Regulator, Ball Valve, Graduated Cylinder, Thermometer, Tubing, Filter Tweezers and ASTM SDI Test Instructions.
