Description

This is a ACL Italy Indirect operating 2 way solenoid valve with G 1-1/2 inch threads and a 220 V AC coil. The valve has a brass housing with FKM(FPM) sealing and an orifice size of 37 mm. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed, which means the valve opens when voltage is applied. The valve is suitable for pressures of 0.15 - 10 bar (2 - 145 psi) and a ambient temperature according to coil from -10°C to +80°C and seal temperature range is -10°C to +140°C. The valve has a Kv-value of 21 m3/h, which translates to a flow rate of 350 l/min at a differential pressure of 0.15 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 24.28, which means 24.28 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. For simple applications it is often enough to select a valve based on the thread size and orifice diameter. The brass housing is durable, suitable for neutral fluids and resistant to many chemicals. The FKM (fluoro rubber material) sealing is suitable for neutral fluids and many chemicals, but it has poor resistance to oils and fats. The valve has an IP65 rating if properly connected.

Pros:

Cons:

  • Not suited for low pressure differentials (< 0.15 bar). In case of low pressure or a vacuum, consider a direct solenoid valve
  • Solenoid valves are very sensitive to dirt and can only be used with clean liquids and gases
  • The coil may get hot when energized. A well ventilated environment is recommended

NC-IA series

The ACL 107 valve is an indirect operated solenoid valve. To open and close, the valve features a large flexible rubber membrane. The pressure difference over the inlet and outlet ports is used to move the membrane up and down. A minimal pressure differential is always required. Thanks to the special design of the membrane and valve seat, the valve operates quietly. The brass housing satisfies all European drinking water requirements. The 107 series offers various options, including different housing materials, ATEXversions, and a manual override feature.
