Pneumatic ISO 21287 Compact Cylinders
Industrial Spare offers pneumatic compact cylinders that provide linear movement by converting energy from compressed air. These pneumatic cylinders follow the ISO 21287 standard for profile cylinders with diameters of 20-100 mm. The ISO 21287 cylinders have a single-rod, however we also offer double-rod compact cylinders which are not an ISO 21287 standard feature. They handle a max pressure of 10 bar and are interchangeable with other manufacturers following the same standard.
Our compact cylinders are double-acting, compressed air is used for both the extension and retraction of the rod depending on where the high pressure is. Double acting cylinders are most commonly used. The main advantages of compact cylinders are their ultra-compact size and light weight. They can be used in applications with limited space. The ISO 21287 cylinders have no adjustable cushioning. The cylinders with bore sizes from 32 to 100 mm share the same end cover mountings as used by the larger ISO 15552 cylinders. With multiple different configurations of rod diameter, stroke length, force in/out, and pressure ranges there is a pneumatic cylinder for almost any application requiring linear motion.
