Bimetallic Thermometers
View Ispare’s range of bimetallic thermometers. Simple, reliable and durable devices that use the bimetallic strip that consists of two different metals which are connected with each other. It uses the expansion of solid bodies when they’re exposed to heat.
The two connected metals have different expansion coefficients thus the strip bends in one direction only when heated and in the opposite when it’s cooled. The metal with a higher coefficient will start expanding when exposed to heat, but the metal with the lower coefficient will make it bend in one direction and move the dial gradually.
These thermometers have a simple design and are available in different materials, with rear and bottom connections, with various temperature measuring and displaying range, display diameters and stem lengths.
